Arts

I'm beginning to wonder again whether I should continue to post on Deviant Art the problem I have is that it does get a lot more traffic then most other art sites and the community is...ok. Not the best, but ...decentish.

What brings this to mind again is the growing number of kids uploading "cool" screencaps of some anime and thinking it's ok. Sometimes it's not like they are claiming they drew it but they aren't saying otherwise either. Also the amount of traces popping up with claim of originality. or eyeballing without stating refs...just the normal thing a decent human being/artist would and SHOULD do.

Knowing all of this it's made me as an artist growingly paranoid about posting up my art even with watermarks. We have found on a few occasions that watermarks do not stop people and some watermarks have been removed (Divine-Star had her watermark removed from a small DMC comic.)

So I wonder about what course of action I should take...only post up "professional" stuff like commissions and trades and leave other stuff for live journal under a friends lock or post up only a section of a commissions and trades...But I think maybe I will ask friends on DevART about what they think.
